| HIKING: |
The Ukrainian part of the Carpathians are very hikeable mountains, with fairly gentle relief and
no inaccessible peaks. Yet they are among the wildest mountains in all of Europe. They have not yet been modernized by
hiking trails, mountain refuges, campgrounds, RV parks, trams, and other infrastructure typical of U.S.
and European nature reserves and national parks. Wild bears and an occasional wolf have even been known to roam in
the woods (but they avoid people, of course!).
You are permited to kindle a fire in every place, on your own responsibility.
KVASY - the best point to begin hike to the highest Carpathian Mountains - Goverla, Blyznytzya and Petros.

Ukraine is hardly known internationally for its ski resorts, but there are actually plenty of places to ski in Ukraine.
Dragobrat, located not far from KVASY is highest, snowiest, remotest resort in Ukraine -
(1600 m), which had a
usual ski season from November to April.
